I am not sure what I was expecting with this story, but this was not it. The story was slow at time but still OK. Reid and Brooklyn are very good together. I could feel how compassionate Reid was, but I was just expecting SOO much more romance between them. But I just felt like something was missing in this book. I felt like it wasn't finished when it ended. I was kind of disappointed when this story ended.

I loved getting to know Reid and Brooklyn, especially Reid, as he had been in the background in all the other Holmes Brothers books. He was the youngest, and he felt like nobody took him seriously. He had sometimes acted in ways that made it easy to dismiss him, however, when he started to change, his family took a while to catch on to the fact that he was growing as a human being.
Brooklyn was a fantastic nerdy girl, and I totally want to read something she wrote...

This was sweet and kind of fun, but honestly too much of the plot depended on the heroine being Super Duper Insecure. She tries to break up with the hero because he's too hot for her (which she realizes after seeing him shrug off a bunch of really hot women because he prefers the heroine...) And a huge plot thread revolves around her being too scared of any kind of negativity to show almost anyone her art, which she is passionate about. Take that away and the book starts to look really thin.
