I think I’ve given all three of this  author’s books 5 stars. It makes me lose sleep. I fall so deeply in love with the characters that I have to mourn them after I finish reading. The beauty of the second chance romance and about finding each other when you’re finally ready is super sweet. It does have smut and it is so beautifully written about how people come together. I love that everyone handles things thoughtfully and with care. I love the side characters as much as I love the main characters. The whole island was an entire character ended up itself and I loved that as well. The following of one dreams and happily ever after was amazing. Highly recommend this book especially to read over the summers.

Take me to Prince Edward Island!! I absolutely loved everthing about the PEI setting. This book was an emotional rollercoaster and I loved it. I didn't love the "casual sex" situation at the start, but it redeemed itself by proving that it just doesn't work. I was bawling 3/4 of the way through just knowing they had to find a way and completely in love with the deep friendship of Lucy and Bridget. Loved the Anne of Green Gables parallels ❤️.

I’m so glad I picked up this book at Costco because this book should be on those lists for summer must-reads because I was whisked away to an island of beaches and lighthouses and bonfires surrounded by friends and supportive family members. This is a novel about the difficult choices you have to make, about careers and friends and lovers, as you settle into adulthood.  The FMC Bee, or Lucy, is a hot young adult running her aunt’s flower shop and the only vacations she takes are to Prince Edward Island, to the childhood home of her best friend Bridget, who is getting married. Bee loves PEI for all the touristy things and the fresh oysters but also for her sneaky link who turns out to be Bridget’s off limits brother. Felix is the most self-assured, handsome, blue-eyed, thoughtful, kind, bookworm fantasy man that knows Bee’s favorite breakfast foods and her dreams, as well as every inch of her body.
What I really loved about this book was that it wasn’t a straightforward romance where the happy ending is when the main characters finally get together. They have to work hard on themselves and forging a strong relationship because they both have been hurt before. This novel is special to me because the FMC’s love for her best friend overshadows her romantic interest in her bestie’s brother and I live for seeing platonic soulmates represented too!

Lucy hooks up with a cute guy she meets at restaurant in PEI only to discover it is her best friends brother, the off limits brother. 5 years later, when Bridget flees Toronto, Lucy has to finally face her true feelings.

This was a super cute story.  Yes, it was a romance between Lucy and Felix, but I loved that Bridget and Lucy's friendship was just as important to the story. It was such a fun and heartwarming read.

The setting plays such a big role throughout the story. PEI is its own character. It add so much charm and heart to the story. The vivid descriptions make me want to get on a plane asap.

Bridget and Lucy met 7 years ago and their friendship bloomed. They are there for each other through thick and thin. I am not surprised that Bridget
was so upset about moving, but theirs is a friendship that could survive the distance. I honestly guessed that this was the big secret early on, it was pretty obvious to me. If it wasn't her relationship in trouble, there was nothing else it could have been.
I adore their relationship. I really want a Bridget in Australia book now.

Lucy and Felix are electric. There are meant to be, end game. There is a fair bit of miscommunication between them. I wish they would have talked more about their relationship and been honest with Bridget. I get that they were afraid of telling her and worried that the other didn't feel the same, but communication is key. I actually really liked the slow progression of their relationship. Yes, there was a tone of physical chemistry, but there was always an emotional element to them as well. They are drawn to one another and no matter the distance or obstacles, they always find their way back.

I am actually really glad that
they took a break from their relationship. Lucy really needed to find herself and take care of her needs/self. She had to grieve her aunt's passing and Bridget moving and figure out what she really wanted before throwing herself into a relationship.

The ending was adorable and everything I wanted for these two.

Tropes: best friends brother, forbidden-ish, friends-to-lover, secret romance
