Short and sweet, a fun little break from what I’ve been reading lately. Nothing too crazy in here just a fun little romance.

Very cute.
An enjoyable, light-hearted and fast read. The romance was very cute and I found the characters really endearing!
I already liked Nickolas from the first book so was glad to see him in a leading role here. I do think however, that with it being such a short a read, Jules didn't get quite as much time to shine as I would've liked. I felt the same way with Gideon in the first book too. It's not quite as apparent as that one, so I can definitely see where the author has improved, but with the book being so short and fast paced the romance feels a bit accelerated.
That said I did still enjoy it! The mysteries of the curses and the schemes of the secondary characters really helped keep the plot interesting while moving things on at a great pace. The characters were endearing and entertaining - even the villains. There's also a fairytale style to the writing that keeps it feeling whimsical and fun and fantastical.
I wish we had got a bit moredescriptions of the other side of the Rivenwilde but I think that's going to be a bit focus in the next story so I'll just have to cope til then.
