I just couldn´t get into it. It was boring. Not much happened. The first time I found it beautiful, magical but this second time I don´t know, I just couldn´t enjoy it as the first one, not sure why. Hopefully, the last book gets its charm back for me.

These kids spend a questionable amount of time away from their families 😅 deaf rep felt iffy to me, and raffa was incredibly frustrating in this one, but it's still a fun series.

It's been a while, so I don't recall my exact reasons. I think I believed that, after a pretty significant investment into the book, the plot just wouldn't pick up and get to the "good part". It must have been too slow.

This second book in the Wing & Claw series finds Raffa, Kuma, and Garith at the end of a hard winter. Now that spring has come, and Roo has woken up from hibernation, the three decide to return to civilization to find out what has been going on. Unfortunately, they are still wanted by the Chancellor for the events in the first book. It is clear as well that she is continuing on with her evil and secret plot. Will they be able to stop her with even more obstacles in their way? Recommended for grades 4 & up. You really need to read this series in order.

Very enjoyable continuation of book one. Definitely ended on a cliff hanger.

I'm fond of, and impressed by the complexity in this series. It's got talking animals which I know kids will love. I like the focus on herbal apothecary and the idea that plants can have almost magical properties. Raffa and his friends decide to return home from where they have been hiding all winter. For Raffa, this is a very dangerous endeavour. It's a good thing he has lots of friends and animals to help him. I'm not crazy about cliffhanger endings like the one here, but I know it will make readers want to come back for more.
