Absolutely loved this book! The thrilling plot kept me awake all night, and Cleeve’s writing style kept me hooked with her observant details and local witticisms. I look forward to more books by her!

I enjoy Ann Cleeves Vera Stanhope and Jimmy Perez series'. But, this new series with Detective Mathew Venn is a boring character. And the plot contrive, trivial. It's almost like it's written for a tv series in mind. Very disappointing.
