I listened to this as an audiobook on a roadtrip, and by the time I was finished I had to catch myself to keep from greeting people "what ho!", replacing "wow!" with " the mind reels," "no" with "out of the q.", and pronouncing "rather" as "rah-tha."
P.G. Wodehouse is hilarious. In the most dry, British way possible. If you enjoy that sort of humor as much as I do, you will greatly enjoy this or any of the other Jeeves and Wooster books.
As a side note, I really enjoyed listening to this as an audiobook - hearing the British accent somehow added a lot.

A joy to read, it left me beaming from ear to ear. I only wish I had discovered it sooner!!

Went into this book with high expectations. I read it as part of a book vs. film reading challenge at our local library (fun idea!). I've know of Wodehouse for a long time but never had taken time to read any of his Jeeves books. This seemed like a great opportunity. However, I found I was forcing myself to read and didn't care a thing about any of the characters, even the indomitable Jeeves. The language was very clever and I enjoyed some of the humor, but won't be reading any more of the series. The TV show took these bones and turned them into a wonderful and memorable character comedy that I will enjoy watching.

Another fantastic book by Wodehouse. His mastery of the English language makes one laugh out loud. Jeeves is fabulous as always.

I can't describe to you the soul-warming contentment I'm feeling right now, so suffice to say that I enjoyed it very, very much, as with all of the Jeeves books I've read thus far. I recommend these a lot (which probably goes without saying, but oh, well).

Still fun! Felt like the plot threads weren’t woven as tightly as its precedents, but still funny. Four for four false engagements!

In these rough and tumble days don't you sometimes just want to sit down and have a healthy helping of P.G. Woodhouse? That was me this weekend and I turned to Jeeves in the Morning for my fix. Loved it, loved it, loved it. I often realize that I'm about as obtuse as Bertie Wooster and I know that I need a Jeeves. Then, I also realize, that I have many people around me who, each in a small way, smooth my path as efficiently as Jeeves does for Bertie and those around him. Thanks to all of you who act as a Jeeves to me. You know who you are and so do I. I would say that you are the wing beneath my wings, but then I would launch into song, and nobody needs that to disturb the night air. It doesn't matter how many times I turn to P.G. Woodhouse, he never fails to entertain. Seek him out in times of troubles, oops, there is that urge to break into song again.
