I feel like this is one of those accidents you know is going to happen but you still have to watch anyway. Hardin is pretty awful. However, Tessa is no saint. It just seems to be chaos and I can't really get behind Tessa being the innocent good girl she is supposed to be. Both of the main characters give me a headache. That being said, will I be reading the sequel? Ummm...Yes, I will!

Was this shit supposed to be romantic? They just went round and round in toxic circles. I felt like I was reading the same thing over and over again. I’ve also discovered that smut in graphic novel form is not for me.

i stand with my smut sisters but this book was not it! i thin ka lot of its failures come down to poor adaptation - the plot moved too fast and circled the same issues with no change. it was irritating to read! i also can't get behind any of the characters or the idea of a dark forbidden romance, as it is presented here. the colour contrast also could've been better, i feel like everything was pastels except for the brooding male love interest who wore all black (but was also pasty white). it fails basically all criteria. i will probably read book two.

I was so happy to be back in the world of AFTER. I missed Hessa! This was my first graphic novel and it was perfect!
