“I may not know Rune Winters, but I know the Crimson Moth. And she is no caged thing.”
Spice: 🌶️🌶️
Oh. My. God. I just stared at a wall for forty minutes. This is my favourite book, without a doubt. I don't care that there was a spicy scene in it. I don't care that it just came out two days ago and that, "Oh, the hype will die down!" Listen to me carefully when I write this; Heartless Hunter walked, so this book could RUN. Tension, magic, stakes, banter, betrayal, twists, politics, war, romance-- I could go on and on forever on how many things this book does right. The character development was also on the level of Six of Crows, despite my disbelief that something could match it. This book had me stunned and almost crying at the end.
This book ruined Heartless Hunter for me because of how good it was. It's ran all of my favourite books through the mud. Look, all of my other favourites are still amazing, but this has taken over and toppled over the rest. This is absolutely stunning!
