I don't usually buy Kindle books, but I figured this one was worth the $1. Victorian ghost stories are my kind of ghost story. Not too creepy, scary, or gruesome. (I'm a scaredy cat.) Plus, I'm a big fan of Victorian literature. The introduction was interesting, and several of the stories were really quite enjoyable. I liked the Christmas/winter theme that vaguely linked the stories. I found The Water Ghost of Harrowby Hall story to be hilarious (according to Google the author John Kendrick Bangs was a satirist, so I'm assuming it was intended to be funny). I mean: "I never aspired to be a shower-bath, but it is my doom."
