Good book, so sad that this little boy was taken unnecessarily away from his own mother and the abuse and heartache he had to suffer because of this and all at the hands of the authorities

My Name is Why is a testament to Lemn Sissay's beautiful writing . Lemn is able to reflect upon painful experience with real honesty to highlight the failings within the care system and how he has worked incredibly hard for every success . It is a remarkable achievement that he was able to hold on to hope given all that he was subjected to.
