Aww that was lovely.
Archie and River’s story made me feel all warm inside. A perfectly romantic story that is filled with heart. Loved it!

A feel good romance

Awww what a sweet ending. I’m so glad River and Archie got their HEA. It’s fun to see where an authors mind takes the characters and I can’t believe they traveled together for so long without knowing they lived in the same town.

All the happiness of a holiday romance.

Archie and River meet while traveling. Both fall for one another in a way never expected. When it was time to part, the decision wasn't an easy one. What was though to be a moment of the past, turned out not be a surprise and a sign for them both.
There are still some unresolved issues as one of them is still in the closet to everyone close to him. Will this be a burden for their future or will they cling to the love they shared in Asia?

Low angst and all of the seasonal joy!

*I received this ARC for my honest feedback.**

Archie and River meet while travelling. They agree to a vacation only romance, so when they head home their time together is finished. What neither of them counted on was catching feelings. However, they agreed, so neither man says anything before Archie heads home.

Archie grew up in the village of Broadway until he moved away during Christmas break at age 14. He loved Broadway at Christmas; the decorations, the residents and, most of all, the tree in the town square. Archie makes a visit to the tree before he leaves and makes a wish to one day return home with someone he loves.

River’s parents are incense-burning, frequently relocating hippies, dragging River around until he’s 14 and they settle in the village of Broadway during Christmas break and put down roots. River loves Christmas and, though his parents don’t really care for the holiday, humour River’s love of the holiday by allowing him to decorate. River loves how Broadway celebrates Christmas; the decorations, the residents and, most of all, the tree in the town square.

After spending so much time moving around, River finds himself itching to travel, so he saves up and begins travelling all over the place. It is during these travels that River sees Archie at the airport after saying goodbye to his most recent vacation fling. He is instantly smitten and thus begins their romance. After Archie goes home, River finds himself at loose ends and decides to go home to stay with his parents for awhile.

Archie was surprised to hear that his parents had decided to move back to Broadway, but he isn’t complaining. He can’t wait to see the village again and to lay eyes on the tree once again. He was surprised to find out that there isn’t a tree this year due to lack of funding. Archie sets out on a mission to get the tree back. Imagine his shock at finding his vacation fling at a house in the village, where the residents (who turn out to be River’s parents) are now completely against Christmas, the tree and everything it stands for. Thankfully River doesn’t share their sentiments and Archie & River decide to work together to bring the tree back.

What should be a happy reunion for the two lovers may never happen. See, Archie isn’t out at home and River is. River wants Archie so badly, that he agrees to be a secret, but it begins to grate on him because he wants to be with Archie in the open. Can Archie work up the nerve to come out so that he can be with River in the way that River deserves? Will the two men succeed in bringing the tree back to the village or will that turn out to be as difficult as being together has been?

I received a complimentary copy of this book and, as always, my review is unpaid and honest.

This book is a really sweet holiday read. I loved how the two mc's thought they were walking away from each other only to find it wouldn't be happening. I loved the chemistry between Archie and River. The book has wonderful characters and a great storyline that I enjoyed from start to finish.

This is a cute novella which seems a bit unrealistic at first, but what is a Christmas story without a bit of magical license.  This is definitely an original story and the MC's were both really likeable. I loved the chemistry between them throughout and the sex scenes were hot. This story gets more Christmassy as the story unfolds and the end is so sweet. I loved the epilogue it gave the perfect HEA.

River and Archie are fated to meet up after separating a world away and ending up back in their home town - the one where they missed crossing paths as children, but are both back for the holidays and looking forward to the town's large Christmas tree that isn't there...

Working together gives them reasons to get together, even though Archie is in the closet and isn't ready to come out...

This book front ends the steam, as we meet the boys at the end of their time in Thailand before heading back home and ends up sweet and perfect for the holidays...

Christmas Tree Wishes by Kelsey Hodge is a sweet holiday romance.
A trip to Thailand and Puket is the starting point of the story. Archie and River are travelling around the world and meet there. They start a relationship with some rules. They are not going to share contact information or where they are from. Because of their accents they assume that they are from the UK, but that’s all.
At Christmas time they decide to go back home, separately. They say their goodbyes, heartbroken because they know this is a lot more than just a fling, and knowing that they may not meet again.
Archie’s parents have returned to their hometown some years after leaving it. When he arrives there, he wants to see the Christmas tree in the Main square, a tree that was his favorite Christmas memory because when he was a kid he used to spend a lot of time there. But the tree is not there, the city council said it was too expensive to maintain. He’s really upset and decides to start visiting each home to ask people if they’d like to have the Christmas tree to keep with the tradition.
While doing his inquiry he meets River again. What are the odds to live in the same village? It was only one week ago when they last saw each other and they cannot deny their feelings. The problem is that Archie is not out to his family and friends and he cannot be who he was when they met.
They start working together to return the tree by Christmas Eve. This closeness helps Archie realize that he wants everything with River, to be able to be himself not only when they are alone at home but also in front of everyone.
This is a very romantic story with a little bit of angst and some sexy moments. I liked it and I fell in love with Archie and River. They are really sweet and cute.
I recommend this novella.
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Loved it

This was such a sweet story! I loved how River was so patient with Archie and allowed him time to work through his concerns. I also adored how they worked together to make sure they could get the village tree back in time for Christmas. A really great seasonal story
