Rewrite the Rules is a great romance book. I loved how relatable the MC was. This book had me on the edge of my book, devouring this book in one day.

This series is so much fun and is a really good palate cleanser if you ever need it. They are so easy to read and you just can’t help but to have fun while reading it. I think I like these character more than the first one but it’s been a little bit since I read the first one too but I won’t be making that same mistake because I’m really looking forward to the rest of these friends and their stories!

Billionaire meets boss/employee meets friends with benefits featuring a sarcastic and lovable female lead and a cinnamon roll male lead who should address his family trauma? It’s the perfect recipe!

Adler is probably my favorite female lead of the year. She’s spunky, she’s sarcastic, she’s a little insecure and battles that internal anxiety monster, and she rocks it. Between the connections with her gal pals and Joel- I’m convinced Adler is everyone’s best friend and I’m next in line. Kay Cove has created a delicious spicy read about none other than a spicy writer. It was bound to be a winner on that alone. The banter and aspirations of goals is easy and the romance natural. I’m not usually one who enjoys the first time/secret virgin trope and I am a little peeved at Adler for handling some things the way she did but the conflict made it interesting and was a leading point to some vulnerable moments. If you’re looking for some juicy spice with a plot and lovable characters, why haven’t you picked this up yet? Best part is while it can be read as a stand-alone, it is book 2 in the series and you bet your booty I am running to snag the first.

Kay Coves writing is amazing, she just sucks you in. I really liked the story and the scene when she comes to get her keys from the office late at night is chefs kiss. It was pretty clear how this was going to play out but I loved it non the less. I think what knocked this down to 4 stars for me is my personal feelings towards “afraid to commit” or “against relationships” trope. It just doesn’t work super well for me. This did it well though so it didn’t take away from the fun I had while reading.

3.5⭐️ i really loved adler! when she finally used her voice and faced her fears it made me admire her even more. minus the commitment issues joel was the perfect book boyfriend. i only wish he came to realization that adler was it for him a bit earlier to save my girl the trouble but it all worked out they are perfect for eachother
