Absolutely loved this. A cross between Practical Magic and the House by the Cerulean Sea. Feels like drinking the perfect warm cuppa on a chilly day.

This gave me House in the Cerulean Sea vibes in the best way! Absolutely charming. Love, love, love.

This book was BEAUTIFUL.

If you want a cozy, found family, grumpy/sunshine, romantic adult novel that is like a cup of warm tea for the mind, this is for you. This was so charming, the main character deals with issues reasonably, the driving plot points were not cheap. Everything felt very well thought out, the steaminess was respectable, and the plot stands on its own two feet without being overtaken by the romance. The whole thing felt neatly packaged, finished with a pretty bow. Not a book to overthink, just curl up and enjoy it. All cozy vibes in this stand-alone; as long as you don’t expect this cute, lighthearted book to be more than it’s supposed to be, you’ll likely be content.

Perfection, no notes.

In a lot of books where children are part of the plot, I find that the children are actually rather scarce in the actual story. One thing that I like about this story is that the children are very much a part of the story instead of an afterthought.
