This was such an interesting read, especially concidering how different it is from a lot of other wwii experiences, and it makes it feel a lot closer/more relevant to the situation in the world today, and I just love the way words can reach out through time and grab hold of you
It's also just strange that so many details of the war are glossed over in school today because they turned out to not be relevant to the bigger picture, but that seemed like they could be relevant at the time.
