Wanted to like this more than I did. I appreciated the language, and the humor alongside the more serious notes. What I struggled with most was the poet's meandering style.

I am trying, I think, to forgive myself
for something I don’t know what.
But what I do know is that I love the moment when the poet says
I am trying to do this
or
I am trying to do that.

I hate to give this a lower rating, but this is the first book of poetry I have really ever read, and I just could not get into it. I plan to read more poetry in the future, and hope to revisit this once I get a bit my experience reading/understanding this type of writing.

I loved the language of the poetry - but the style too much stream of conciousness which I found I lost track of the poem itself.
