Nice snapshot story set of an intriguing paranormal setting. Light, quick read that piqued my curiosity and wrestled with serious questions of life and fate. Dialogue was pretty smooth, and the feisty protagonist with principles and attitude was easy to sympathize with.

Kinda like a great appetizer, this story is enjoyable and satisfying, but short enough to make me look look forward to a main course novel.
