(This book was 440 pages so not accurate to what good reads has)

3.5 stars but rounded down - it was enjoyable but it took me forever to read and that's unusal for me, if I love something I devour it but I just wasn't connecting with the characters massively and found it, a bit? I don't know??

It was a really interesting premise and I do want to read the rest of the trilogy but I think it's not my exact style of book - someone who loves fantasy would love this but I'm new to it so need things to stick out a bit more

Wow! Beautifully written. Love that there is a strong WOC as the main character. The world the author created is amazing and well thought out without being overly wordy. The audio book narrator is also fantastic!

This book as a concept was brilliant, the idea, the existence of a whole library includes the unwritten books made me excited as a still unwritten writer. And characters coming to life because they're restless and don't want to stuck in their story. Yes, bring it on.
But the story I read was not the one I expected it. It was about demons, angels and the rivalry between hell and heaven and I was like okay? where is the part that talks about being an unwritten character, the struggles, and when it finally came, it was a shot a few pages. I was a little bit disappointed honestly. The potential, being wasted like that... It could have been so much better but it was mediocre.
It's not that I didn't like it. I enjoyed some parts but.. I am not sure I'll read the second book, I might since I am curious about what will happen next but... I am sad :(( This book could have been a brilliant one.

Boring. The characters lack charisma.
