Half the book was 4⭐ and the other half was 2⭐.
- 100 pages just to accept that he goes to Spain with her. It's the plot. We know he's going? Why write 100pages of maybe?no?yes?no?
-it's not a real ennemies to lovers trope.
-lina's inner dialogues were repetitive.
- the Spain part was the best part. It was a slow burn and some conversation had potential.
- the minute the smutt happened.... it all sent down the drain. It was sooooooooooo cringey.

This book was definitely too long! I had to make myself read the first half, then I was invested for 100 pages and the rest I just wanted to get through. Don’t get me wrong, it was a fun, although pretty foreseeable (which is fine!) read; it simply could have done with a couple hundred pages less. And especially since it is such a long book (for romance standards that is), I was disappointed that the storyline with Gerald was only scratching the surface of the underlying issue of how men and women are regarded and judged differently when it comes to workplace-romance/relationships. Still, I really enjoyed sometimes laugh-out-loud family/friendship dynamics. Overall I’d say it is great for fans of  the hating game and love theoretically.

Not gonna lie, I was hesitant for the first 50 pages. But then I understood the hype. I mean Aaron Blackford raises my standard once again. I mean the things he says to Catalina is so wonderful. Ugh, I want those things to be said to me. Lol. Anyways, I thought the book was good. It wasn’t my favourite read of the year, but it was probably in my top 5!
