I wanted to read this book as I had seen it all over Booktok and Bookstagram and again, booktok and bookstagram didn’t let me down.

This book focuses around Catalina Martin, who is desperately needing a date to her sister’s wedding. Especially since her little white lie about her American boyfriend has spiralled out of control. Now all of her family and her ex and his new fiancée wants to meet this boyfriend and have all the juicy details. She only has four weeks to find someone who is willing to cross the Atlantic and aid her in this deception. New York to Spain is no short flight and her rowdy family won’t be easy to fool. Aaron Blackford is her tall, handsome and condescending colleague – who has surprisingly offered to step in and help her. Catalina would rather refuse as there has never been a more aggravating and insufferable man. But Catalina is desperate and as the wedding draws nearer, Aaron might be her best option. And she begins to realise he might not be as terrible in the real world as he is at the office.

I love the drama in this book. As someone who has a big family, I get the pressure of having someone to sort of take the attention off yourself. I love Lina’s sister. Sometimes I don’t like slow burn in the books, but this worked and worked REALLY well. This book made me giggle like a school girl at some points during this and Aaron has been added to the list of book boyfriends. I just want my own Aaron Blackford. It had some of my favourite things: Enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine trope, don’t touch her or die trope, the heated stares in the office – I CAN’T DEAL WITH THIS SOMETIMES. I really enjoyed this book and feel like it would be the perfect holiday read when you are away or by the pool.

I would like more of Aaron Blackford and Catalina Martin. I want another book of them going to another wedding I don’t care what they do I just want to read about it.

Really cute romance. I don’t think it was anything special, but it definitely was lovely. I mean the romance was cute and all, characters are lovebale a s realistic. Plot lines are good. At first I was going to give this a 3, but the last couple chapters raised it by 0.75 points, so pretty good. I would almost give it a 4, but I started to get bored of the "me and you" lovely jargon. I definitely skipped a lot of "oh I love him. I am the one for him…". The plot twist in the end was kinda nice. Overall, it was a good book, if you are into romance comedy books. If you like Love Hypothesis, you’ll probably like this a lot. I definitely think this should have a little more representation, but that’s ok. The description of Spain was nice and the little Spanish phrases throughout the text made me Love Lina. The book was beautifully written, and greatly illustrated. The only problems I have with it were:
Lina thirsting over Aaron in the soccer game and the way the sex scenes were introduced and written, but then again both of those things are not my cup of tea, oh and also the fact Aaron kept Lina on his lap in front of her family. Like gross, why do you want your aunt to see you getting risqué with your boyfriend
. Overall, great if you love rom-coms

Where can I get an Aaron, because my book boyfriend list is getting longer. All, thoughts of Aaron aside, for now, this book was really good. It had the romance, comedy, realism and spice that we all love. The fake dating was executed beautifully, and Lina’s situation was something that unfortunately to many people go through and it was nice to see a book portray that and show that there can be hope. Aaron yet again was amazing, he was always there for Lina and didn’t need anything back, as someone who has an overthinking problem the fact that Aaron didn’t push her to tell him anything but just let her know that he was there is she wanted to was amazing. The only thing I really wish this book had would be more descriptions while they were in Spain as a cultural aspect. We don’t get enough book that with Spanish characters and I wish we got to see more while they were in Spain but I loved this book and would totally recommend.
