This is one of my first dives into dark romance and I really enjoyed it. I’ve read thrillers in the past so this was pretty similar. I really enjoyed how they integrated the art scene into this book and I thought that the double life that the MMC had was really intriguing. The end of this book caught me by complete surprise and I can’t wait to read the second half of this duet.
Also the pictures were really cool.

All I have to say is WOW. This is what dark romance should be. I loved every minute reading this and I love Mara. I feel like so many FMCs in romance are done so weak and submissive but the author did an amazing job making Mara strong and delicate. Cole was so interesting and the way his mind worked was fascinating. I loved the way art was incorporated into this story (both the picture pages and how it was written). The writing was beautiful. I wasn’t interested in the authors others works due to their summaries but now I may read them because of her writing style. The pacing was immaculate! Very much enjoyed and am looking forward to the next book.
