Warnings: Animal death
I went into this series expecting something really interesting. So far there’s been a lot of slow buildup, which is fine. I keep feeling like they’re going to have to give us more soon. And in all fairness, they did give us more to chew on in this issue. A lot more. I’m just not sure how I feel about it.
Based on the implications in the first issue, combined with things seen here, I think it’s safe to say that most of us can guess what’s happening here. We don’t know the specifics, certainly. But we do know how it’s surely going to end.
I probably would have liked this issue more, if not for the ending. I get what they were going for, but it just left a sour feeling in my stomach.

I did enjoy this issue and if obvsly it couldn't be that easy to break the spell they are under but I hope this doesn't become the norm and repeated ad nauseum, specially because #1 was so strong a beginning.

The story and art is still fantastic, but I rate things two stars when I have a major problem with them.

And I fucking did here with the last couple of pages.

Up until that point, this was a 4 star read. It continues the story along, while not being completely predictable. So, I still recommend the comics if you don't mind fewer pages.

If you love a certain type of domesticated animal, you may through a hissy fit like me in the last page or two.
