A good story overall.

I was expecting more ghost, less murder mystery. Instead, it was more of the opposite. Having more of the 1950’s timeline would have been nice-I enjoyed that timeline to the 2014 one. I wish there was more Mary Hand.

Other than the wish for more 1950’s, I did enjoy this book. While I was expecting it to be more ghost, I still liked the storyline. Everything was woven together well overall. Everything came together nicely at the end and I like how the timelines collided.

Enjoyed this book! Spooky, eerie. The characters were not annoying.

I’m not quite sure what I think of the book. It was different enough that I will remember it, but I’m not sure how believable I found it. I understand Im reading fiction, but I want it to seem as if it could really happen.

I really enjoyed this one!

It's an atmospheric, spooky whodunnit with the little plot twists revealed in drips and drabs. It's more of a murder mystery than a ghost story which I preferred.

It follows a past and present storyline, from multiple perspectives, and it was interesting to see how those storylines merged at the end. I didn't see the big reveal coming at the end but I really liked it, it wrapped the story well.

Simone St James is officially an auto buy author for me!

It's been months since I got so hooked on a book! I literally read it in half a day.
I also believe this is the first time I actually liked both timelines equally. I also loved all the girls' povs and actually learned a lot about the Second World War (a subject I thought I had enough of). The only negative for me was how shallow Mary's part was.
