The chemistry between Jamie and Bea in this book is insane. It's been a long time since I really felt the angst, pining, and chemistry in a contemporary romance, but it was CONSTANT in this book. I'm not even talking about the steam, just them like accidentally brushing arms had me squealing with delight.

Also, apparently blushing MMCs are a thing I'm into. I haven't come across enough sweet/caring/bashful men in romance and this was a fun change of pace. Such a feel-good romcom.

This was my first Chloe Liese book but it definitely won't be the last.

There were so many things I loved about this book.

✨ First of all, the communication between Jamie and Beatrice was so incredible. I loved how they just understood each other both verbally and non verbally.

✨ The fake dating trope is one I will take with me to the grave because it is my favorite and it will be the death of me. These two were so cute and I like how their "fake dates" ended up being just the two of them spending genuine time to get to know each other and help each other grow.

✨ I did not love the third act "breakup" but I did understand where both of them were coming from and why they needed the space to heal.

Another solid showing by Liese. Way too cheesy for me there toward the end and at the end, which knocked it down a star for me. But excited for Kate’s story!

This book was fabulous!! Loved the meet disasters. All of them. Loved the party where they met. The game. Loved how opposite Jamie and Bea were. Loved the fake relationship aspect. Loved how underrated both characters were. Loved the friend group and the fun activities they did. Loved how sweet and romantic Jamie was. This book was just delightful.
