Really enjoyed this book. It is not like your typical vampire book. It is a page turner for sure!
So, this was not a bad set of stories...just not sure if it enough to make me want to read the other books in the series. The premise and characters were interesting and it was well written. I just think there are better vampire series out there!
I read this waaay before I started blogging and I honestly don't remember shit about it. I think I'll have to re-read it sometime.

It took a while to pick up. It took me awhile to read because it was clunky and the MC is inflamed to a bad point. Very weak plot and things happened too quickly and was solved to easily and to quickly. There was no build up to the climax. A palate cleanser book.
Alisa has been in control of her urges for the five thousand years she has been a vampire. She feeds but does not kill, and she lives her life on the fringe to maintain her secret. But when her creator returns to hunt her, she must break her own rules in order to survive.
Her quest leads her to Ray. He is the only person who can help her; he also has every reason to fear her. Alisa must get closer to him to ensure her immortality. But as she begins to fall in love with Ray, suddenly there is more at stake than her own life....

I'm a huge fan of vampire novels. this was just ok. Don't think I will continue with the rest of the series.

I read these novels as a teenager. I always remember Alisa as a strong, awesome badass vampire. I really loved them, but the last time I read them I was probably like 13. I didn't remember all the self-bragging. She's basically invincible and can do no wrong. From knowing how to fly a helicopter ("I can operate every machine ever made") to falling in love with a high school student in a matter of a day, it is all sort of a big mess.
