I knew very little about Tan (except that he's kind of annoying on that British fashion show that is better than Project Runway) before listening to this book. And I have never seen the new "Queer Eye."
But I am definitely a fan now. I really like his authenticity and his casual observations about American culture. heh. And let's be clear: TAN FRANCE LOVES HIS HUSBAND. That part is abundantly clear and is freaking adorable. We need more love in this world.

I just think the narrative runs out of gas at the end. Some of the later sections feel like fillers, and one or two also are "Racism 101 for White People." Probably good information but I don't think I'm the intended audience.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I've loved Queer Eye ever since Season 1 aired and Tan is one of my favourites, so I was excited to read his memoir and learn more about him. The book is part memoir, part advice-giving. The advice is mostly about style, but Tan also touches on dating, relationships, and his rise to fame.

My only complaint about the book was that the writing was a little all over the place. Not all the stories were in chronological order and one paragraph might be a totally different topic from the one preceding it, which was a little jarring sometimes. Overall though, it was an interesting read and helped me get to know Tan beyond what you see on the show.

I love Tan and I love Queer Eye. He's funny and you can HEAR him without actually listening to the audio.
I would love to see him write another book because there's been even more progression in his career. It was just a fun autobiography.

This book is a really easy, fun and lighthearted read, even though it was written by a ghost writer it felt like Tan had actually wrote it himself as I heard his voice whilst reading. It offers lots of great advice and important behind the scenes insight! I also loved the honesty in this book relating to Tan’s life experiences!

Would definitely recommend especially for any Queer Eye fans!!!
