The first half of the book is just background and more background. It could be the actual story, but just when it reaches the turning point, it jumps to the present. Hello? We want to see the hatred between them, the argument, the breaking point. How do we go from « we’re super in love » to « I hate you more than anyone, and if you come back, I’ll annihilate your family »?

If Grandma Anne was already unbearable in the first books, here she takes it to the extreme. Also, can someone explain why the grandparents hate each other so much?

Anyway, Celeste is a whole spectacle, I don’t even know where to start with her. And Zane… well, aside from being the cliché of I’ll prove I like you by pulling your pigtails, he has barely any personality.

And since, apparently, everything in life is solved with sex where they call you celestial and my goddess…
For some unknown reason, I keep reading. Maybe Lex is salvageable. Even Sierra didn’t sit well with me in this one

Absolutely not. Maybe I just don’t like when the female character is at fault and is so obtuse and reckless, and the MMC refuses to understand her perspective. Waste of my time.

The "past" was so cute. Didn't really like the misunderstanding part that took them 5 years to reconcile.

You guys I nearly lost my mind with the angst in this book.
I cried, laughed, and god knows I love Zane and Celeste. I think their story was so good because of the mistakes they both made, it just made all of it so much realistic.

SPOILER ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

Let me shut the f up about lily. I know she was sick and all that, but damn she’s the reason they’re relationship turned out like that.

Zane + Celeste

Catharina Maura has done it again! I simply cannot get enough of her Windsor series and I just get more obsessed with each new book! Zane & Celeste are both such amazingly complex characters and so beautifully written. I’ll be counting down the minutes til the next release!
