The only reason I gave this book a two-star rating and not a one is because the book's first half was great! I was intrigued by the love story between Zane and Celeste. The previous books hinted at their love story, and I was dying to understand why they intensely hated one another. You know what they say: first comes love, then hate. Actually, no, it's the other way around. I know that, but it sounded better this way to fit this book.
Anyways, Celeste and Zane's backstory of how they met was sweet. I loved getting to experience the way their love for one another grew as they got older. What I was surprised to find out was the reasoning behind their breakup. The tragedy that struck Celeste was horrible, and I felt for her. I just wished she would've tried harder to find the truth behind the words told to her. She went years harboring hate toward someone who didn't deserve it.
The second half of this book could have been better. Maybe it was the miscommunication or how easily Celeste threw away someone she had cherished for so long that made me dislike it.

I fucking cry. I am not worthy of this love story. What a fucking rollercoaster…I get motion sick but I loved every second
Its a tough one
This book was a bit tough to read. Everything that Celeste went through with her best friend made me heartbroken, and then when we found out what truly happened. My heart breaks because I thought they would never get over the last, but im so happy that they did. Plus, in the end, when Sierra's husband Jane was mentioned, I yelled, "I knew it!" Lol. This is such a great series, and I can't wait to read Lex's story.

If I had to describe this book in one word it would be heartbreaking. This couple was in a constant rollercoaster, they’re relationship is in constant ups and downs all the way through.
I love Zane and Celeste’s story, but it was a hard one to read. From the start you fall in love with Zane’s sense of humour and witty remarks, and with Celeste’s kindness and resilience, and you just want them to be happy together because you can truly see through the pages that they belong together.
What I love about Catharina’s writing is the way she makes you connect with the characters. Being able to make you understand their feelings the way that she does is to her readers a blessing and a curse.
As you will see through the book, broken things can not only me mended but also improved. I fell like this book is a perfect example of that, it will tear you apart and put you back together in the most beautiful and painful way.
I’m really excited for the next books of this series because I want more Zane and Celeste (and more of all the others characters as well, let’s be real). I’m so sad that theirs only two more books. I’m not ready to let this family go, I don’t think I will ever be.
