I like the suspense of the plot in the book. I never got a connection with the main character as I normally would when reading a thriller. I actually disliked the character and the way she portrayed. The ending was much more insightful and I did not expect the outcome to be as it was.

Another cracker from @mirandarijksauthor 

Abi is murdered whilst apparently on a holiday with her friends. Her Mum, Grace, soon finds out there was a lot she didn't know about her daughter.

Trying to find the person responsible for Abi's death leads Grace to uncovering secrets about her daughter but it becomes apparent someone wants her to stop digging & they will go to any length to stop her!

Another fabulous thriller, you just can't go wrong with Miranda!

Another fast paced book, this one features the tragedy of losing a child to murder. The mother is faced alone with figuring out what happened. Sadly, no one believes her when she is threatened to stop investigating. Her friends are atrocious to her, her ex-husband is no help and her other daughter is weary as well. The protagonist is very unlikeable at times due to her self-destructive behaviors. But, who are we to judge what is normal after losing a child. There is a lot of action which keeps the pages flying and the twist is somewhat shocking.

How far would you go to find justice for your daughter? How far would you dig to find answers?
That is the question Grace has to answer when her oldest was murdered while on vacation. She stopped at nothing to find answers for her daughter. Even after uncovering some really unfavorable information about her, she still pressed on.

That's not to say Grace was always likeable. I found myself talking to her, saying “girl no!” or “stop it!” She was frustrating to say the LEAST! But honestly, you can't fault her with everything she's going through.

I really enjoyed this book. I knocked off half a star because I guessed who was 'it'. But I'm a huge fan of Miranda Rijks. I honestly think all of her books are gold!

Wow, I did not see that twist at the end coming!! I LOVE that, it's my favorite! I have now decided to add Miranda Rijks to my always-read list and add all her books to my TBR! At first, I wasn't sure where this story was heading but once we got going I was all in!
