Omg, I loved this!!! Aiden and Lily spend 20 years in and out of each others lives, but they always find their way back to each other. The flashbacks are are not confusing and they are crucial to understanding the characters. It is a times beautiful, heart-wrenching, suspenseful and a sweet yet steamy love story. One moment it leaves you wrecked, then the next you are wrapped up in their undying love for each other. You MUST read this!!!!

I enjoyed parts of this book. I loved drama. It was a nice change from the books I've been reading. It bothered me that the Lily and Aiden were so dependent on each other. Lily wouldn't move on because Aiden kept showing up. But, Aiden had no issues moving passed her. I didn't like how the book kept going back to previous years. I feel the book would have flowed better if it would have done it in order.

Unexpected
I was not expecting this story. I thoroughly enjoyed it and read it in one sitting. I loved how it was written and I enjoyed how the time line went back and forth. Both authors touched on serious subject matters and handled it beautifully. I'm so glad it had a HEA.

5 Years Later is a romance novel about Lily and Aiden. Aiden and Lily are together for a time and then dramatically separate for five years. Coincidentally Aiden comes back every 5 years to mess up Lily's life again. Both characters have their share of problems and messiness in their lives. When they get back together things just get worse.
I really didn't enjoy this one. The characters were such a train wreck... I had a hard time following what time frame we were in and what age the characters were during the chapters. I feel like the story line was all over the place and confusing. I wasn't a big fan of Aiden or Lily as characters.

Good book
Good characters, relatable. Excellent storyline, mostly believable, if a bit disjointed. Told in flashbacks, in no particular order, it's confusing & occasionally repetitive. This took it down a star. The variety and sheer number of tragedies effecting this couple makes it even harder to distinguish what part of the story you're jumping into each time a new chapter begins. However, once you untangle the beautiful mess, the story is absolutely lovely. I was a bit disappointed in the sex scenes. Even when told from Lily's POV, they seemed more male focused - less attention to detail and the same routine every time. This is my first Jaxson read without Mickey, whose sex scenes are much more detailed and varied, but it took practice and this is one of Kidman's early works. So I'll keep reading. Also lost a star bc it really needed at least one more run through by a proofer - lots of typos & little mistakes.
