A nice collection of poems but I may have not been the right audience for it. I was surprised to see religion (Christianity) incorporated within a bunch of the poems but Victoria humanizes and makes it relatable which itself is tough to do. I was able to admire this in poetry style.

There a number of poems I dog eared but majority of it I didn’t connect to. Once again, I simply didn’t connect to what made her nostalgic about her childhood. It does provide a lot of hope for suicidal idealizations and disordered eating and some beautifully written sections under “reasons to stick around for a while”

I loved hearing her read her poems out loud in her instagram but this just didn’t hit for me. Some felt repetitive and could have been shorten for more conviction.

This doesn't read like a debut poetry collection. Each page was truly marvelous.
