I mean... It was alright. Way too long. And it seemed torn between being a romance or a mystery.

The romance wasn't really developed and pacing was confusing. They fell in love and decided to get married in a couple of weeks?!! I mean... You do you, but stop saying you barely know each other then PROPOSE!

I hated the miscommunication trope in the middle of the book; it made ZERO sense and dragged in for longer than necessary.

I really didn't like Lina. She was supposed to be this badass but she just came off as shallow and misogynistic (I mean the amount of times this woman hated on other women omg!! One I can reference off the top of my head was when she said male friends were better cause they were less drama *cue the eye roll*)

This book was loaded with subtle (and not so subtle) misogyny. It really took me out of the book at times.

The only thing I loved is... Well, Nash. He was a good character. Trying his best. I found myself relating to his struggles: the perfectionist who tried to fix everything and everyone.

Now, for the part of this book that (I think a lot of people loved) I hated the MOST:

*****HUGE SPOILER****

WHEN NASH TATTOOED LINA'S NAME IN HIS ASS?! LIKE LITERAL ASS!!! WTF?! THAT WAS SO WEIRD. YUCK!

ALSO THE FACT THAT HIS BROTHER AND HIS (NEW) FRIEND BOTH SLEPT WITH HER (LINA) IS SO FKN WEIRD. I'M SORRY IT HAS TO BE SAID!!!

Why... why is this so hyped..? Its was okay, but not great.
It's an easy read but I feel like this could have been condensed WAY down. I liked the beginning and the story line but then it dragged halfway through and honestly I had a hard time even finishing it. It was a lot of back and forth between Lina and Nash and I just got bored by the end.

Really loved the story. I enjoyed the FMC and how she learned that vulnerability is not a weakness, but a strength.

Small Town romance with a found family that accepts you with all your flaws. Letting down your walls is never easy, but probes that there is a life behind those built walls.

I enjoyed the character development of the FMC and MMC. I loved how compatible they were and the progression of their relationship.

O enjoyed the yearning and loved that it wasn't overly done or dragged out.

Out of this entire book, I only liked the scenes where the characters from the previous book appeared

Another beautiful love story. I never cry while read a book... I never thought I'd cry while reading a book. Well, technically I didn't... but the wedding scene at the end of the book totally had me tearing up. This is a beautiful series so far. The books may be a little long for some people as they are very detailed and the plot is thorough. But Knox (Viking) and Nash (Hotshot) are so dreamy as they play the small-town heros who have their walls built up around them, and their lovers, Naomi (Daisy) and Lina (Angel), play a heroine role as they each tear these guys' walls down. It's beautiful, but I cannot give the series 5 stars. Despite that statement, I am eager to read the third. Think this is my favorite grump x sunshine trope series with a little bit of second-chances mixed in there.

A characters name changes inside of a sentence and it was absolutely mind blowing to experience. How does that make it through the editing process, be so fr.

I love this book waaaayy better than the first one, I literally enjoyed every second of it. And Lina!!! A beautiful strong fmc that stands her ground and doesn't take shit from anyone to the very end? God I love her.
And Nash, he was a beautiful complex character. Every single thing about this book was brilliant and the bonus epilogue, it was everything I didn't know I need. I literally can't wait for sloan and lucien's book and know their story
