Vampire x human relationships, werewolf x human relationships, and now we got jinn x human relationships. And I just happened to prefer the last one.

I loved Jinn very much, he was awesome! And I felt for Viola, I really did. And I had to finish the entire book to get more Viola x Jinn moments and to make sure they got together.

Jackson Pierce's youtube videos are hilarious (and were the reason I decided to read her books) and her book doesn't fail to make happy!

I've read this book with kid. One reading Viola's POV chapters and the other reading Jin's.
She's enjoyed it even more than me, laughing out loud at the jokes, holding my hand tight at the last tense scenes... And this has been a really joyful experience.
This is a sweet love story with some wonderful secondary characters that play a part in it.
We, both kid and me, loved Lawrence and his way of caring for Viola. And mostly for him, his character, and how sweetly he's portrayed I have to give the book a 5. I wish there were more relationships in YA that didn't end up hooking boy and girl and twisted things a bit more.

I remember loving this book as a kid, like so much

This is an amazingly original story! Viola is invisible. At least that's what she thinks. Her long term boyfriend admitted that he is gay 7 months ago and since then Viola's social life has been nonexistent. Her longing to feel whole again eventually turns into a very powerful wish.

As You Wish doesn't waste any time getting to the interesting stuff. Viola's life takes a very strange turn when Jinn shows up to grant her 3 wishes. Viola is a bit headstrong and making 3 wishes is a very tough thing for her. She doesn't want to waste them. Those three wishes become almost impossible after a few days with Jinn.
Jinn does want to be on Earth. Every second spent here is aging him. But Viola won't wish! She's impossible and after a few days on Earth maybe...just maybe..he doesn't want her to wish either.

After reading Sister Red I couldn't get my hands on this book fast enough! It was a very cute story with refreshing characters. Viola is stubborn and smart. I found her relationship with Lawrence to be a little strange but that might happen all the time...who knows! I loved Jinn! He was raw and honest and very different than most male love interests.

Overall, this book was a fun Summery read. You will have a hard time putting it down.

I loved the message of happiness and feeling whole coming from within oneself and not from external influences that was found in As You Wish. The romance was sweet and I got the sense that Jinn really did love Viola. I liked the way he just held her in his arms, instead of rushing into passionate kissing.

The one part where Viola tells Jinn, who doesn't sleep, that he can stay but that he can't watch her sleep all night, because that would be weird, really cracked me up and made me think of Twilight and Edward Cullen’s stalker-like behavior.

This is a light YA read and I wasn’t expecting much from it, but it ended up exceeding my expectations

This was actually really cute. I liked how accurate a description of a certain high-school experience it was (the one who feels invisible even though a lot of people recognize her). It was a really cute love story, and it wasn't as predictable as I thought it would be. (Thank heavens we are reminded repeatedly about the "no-mermaid rule," otherwise I would have wasted a lot of time just yelling, "WISH HIM TO BE LIKE ______ ALREADY!")

I was pleasantly surprised by this quick read. Very glad to be going through the Pearce fairy tale-type stories.

Cute is the words that fits this book. I loved Jinn and Viola (though I despise her name). Their love was so sweet to me! This was a pretty good book & I enjoyed reading it.

As much as I love Jackson Pearce, I have to say I loved reading Sisters Red a lot more than this. Not to say As You Wish was a bad book. It was a good, fun, and very quick read. I think the age this is targeted at is more in the 12 to 16 year old range, but I knew that going into the book.

The romance was sweet, the friendship was honest, and the ending fit well. I'm glad I read it, just sad I didn't love it.

I like this book, it's different and fun. It takes the whole genie idea and makes it more modern.
