I see other reviews that liken this book to a weird combination of Kafka, Poe, and Hitchcock, and that about sums it up -- it has the surrealism and existentialism of Kafka, the dread of Poe, and the atmosphere of Hitchcock. It's also a dark, dark look at identity, paranoia, and madness.

I don't feel like I have the background to do a proper review of this book, but if you like the kind of horror of John Langan or Laird Barron (or maybe even Thomas Ligotti, though I'm not a fan of his work), you should give this book a try. It's short, but impactful.
