5 stars!

I Love, love, LOVED this story!! This book was everything that I have come to expect from this author. It was exciting, funny, heart breaking and beautifully written. From the very first page I feel in love with Lana and Matt and their story. He is the hot Hollywood actor and she is the sweet girl next door but together they were just perfect. I loved the storyline and the setting for this story was amazing. I could imagine everything that I was reading. Louise just has this wonderful ability to transport you into her stories and they don’t let you out until that very last word. I’ve read a few books by her now and I think this one may just be my favourite! The passion between Lana and Matt was just off the charts – I really loved that she had no idea who he was. I loved Lana’s attitude – she was feisty and not afraid to put Matt in his place – especially during thunderstorms!! Matt was just – swoon worthy! It’s the only word that I can think of to describe him – by far one of my favourite characters by this author!
As always I can’t wait to see what this author comes out with next!!

Wow! I just love Louise Bay. This was only my second read/ listen from her, but it didn't disappoint. I love the Celebrity Tropes. Lana's is a timid girl who has been scarred from an event from her past and likes to keep to herself in her little Maine town. Matt stays in the house she rents next door and she has no idea he is a super up and coming movie star. Of course they are attracted to each other, and that is where their love blooms.

Overall, Sebastian York and Andi Arndt's performances pulled me into the story , and I couldn't stop listening. I love how strong and independent the characters become in knowing what they want and striving hard to get it! This is just a sexy, feel good romance!!

Characters? After a horrible experience at college, Lana needs a safe environment. Her small and quaint hometown is perfect for that.
And Matt? He is a Hollywood heartthrob with a lot of women in his past but his heart beats for his family.
I couldn't really identify with the characters. I mean, sure Matt built his brothers a House which seems like an awfully nice gesture but I was like... really? Plus, his whole attitude annoyed me.

And Lana? I don't know... Her anxiety was relatable in a way but then it also wasn't...

Can't rant about them not having safe sex. They are careful.

Loved this book!!! Louise Bay is one of those authors that can tell a really good story. I was hooked from the first chapter.
I loved Lana; she was a great heroine and one I loved right from the start. She is living a quiet life in Maine. She owns her own jewelry shop and life is good albeit a bit lonely.
Matt is a famous Hollywood star; a star that has to behave in order to get back on his feet. Maine is the place where he will find the one thing he never expected; an honest woman that isn't the little bit interested in his fame.
I loved this couple. The storyline was a bit predictable BUT the writing and characters were amazing. I totally recommend this book.

The man a million women wanted only wanted me.

Lana Kelly has been burned before. Happily ensconced in her quiet life in Maine, the last thing that she wants is any kind of notoriety. Been there, done that, and, never again, thank you very much. As a Hollywood darling, Matt Easton might be one of the rich and famous, but he's still just a Midwestern boy at heart. While in Maine to shoot a movie, little does he know that an encounter with one very angry, very rained-upon woman will change his life as he knows it.

One of the things that I love best about Louise Bay's writing is how very well she writes about so many different types of people. From British students to Wall Street billionaires, Louise creates vivid stories and lives that are always completely engaging and passionate, no matter the setting. In HOLLYWOOD SCANDAL, she has ventured into what I'd call Cinderella Story Land, and she's done a lovely job.

Lana and Matt have chemistry from the moment that they spend time together. It's a bit of a slow burn at first, but not that slow because, before long, they are lighting each other up like 4th of July fireworks. To say that these two are passionate about each other is an understatement. I mean, Louise always brings the heat, and Lana and Matt were certainly well-matched in theirs. Beyond the attraction, though, what I appreciated most is the way that Lana appealed to who Matt really was deep down. Having grown up in a regular Midwestern family, with family values and a love of those closest to his heart, it really doesn't take spending much time with Lana for Matt to understand that the life that he thought he wanted might need something more.

For her part, spending time with Matt allows Lana to grow beyond the things that have held her back, to really take flight and reach the potential that he sees in her, and pursue her passions, and this is one of the things that I love most about Louise's books. No matter what path they are pursuing in life, it's meeting that certain someone, that person that sparks a change and makes them see life differently that makes Louise's characters and their stories so appealing.

Don't get me wrong, there were moments that I wanted to grab Matt by the shoulders and shake him, but, he is a guy, after all, and, when all was said and done, he always had Lana's best interests at heart. While I enjoyed the rest of the story, the epilogues sealed the deal for me, and really made me love Matt just a little bit more, because he brought it, and showed what he was made of. And Lana, I loved her sass, her humor, and the way that she bloomed with the right kind of love and attention, and would happily catch up with her in a later book (Louise, are you listening?!).

While Ryder and Scarlett and their story are still topping my faves list, HOLLYWOOD SCANDAL is another 4.5 stars worthy read, and one that is perfect for fans of Louise, a glass slipper kind of story, and the HEA.

Louise Bay has this way of completely holding my mind and heart captive with every one of her stories. From her unique characters to her own twist on relatively familiar plots, every one of her books has held something new. With Hollywood Scandal, the proof was in the pudding when once again she had me falling in love immediately with her leading man, Matt. Seriously, why haven’t I met a man like Matt yet? Why can’t I happen upon a celebrity who is not only totally freaking hot, loaded, and famous, but he’s got a heart of gold??? I’m obviously living in the wrong town.

I’m sure my review will change once I’ve completely wrapped my mind around this amazingly beautiful story I’ve read. It happens. Just know that Matt and Lana shared a fiery chemistry, an explosive connection, and their love story was completely worthwhile. If you’re prepared to fall in love with love and to welcome a new BBF into your heart (I’m talking about Matt *swoon*), then you definitely need to add this book to your list!
