We meet James who is having your typical breakup conversation with his girlfriend of the last couple of years. No longer leaving town to travel with her for the Christmas holiday he heads home to spend the holiday with his adoptive son Jesse. He took Jesse in when his parents, James' best friends, passed away. He has been a father figure for Jesse since he was two years old and always looked out for him, even when he came out about his sexuality. He never dreamed there could be more to them beyond being his guardian until one night changes everything. One innocent mishap and now he can't see Jesse as anything elseโฆ but his.
Jesse is kind, smart, and loves to cook. He loves the life he has with James. But for the last few years, he's been hiding his true feelings. He no longer looks at James as his guardian, in fact, he's never even called him Dad just James. Keeping his crush for the man who takes care of him locked away he has given up on the idea that he could ever have James all to himself the way he truly wants. He knows it's wrong but he can't help the way he feels. He just has to make sure he's the only one who ever knows about those feelings. But when you're prone to sleepwalking and that leads to a slip-up of epic proportions the secret may not be so easy to keep hidden anymore.

The passion between these two is so good and they even get a little out of the box a few times in ways that had my eyes doubling in size at what I was reading, as well as a little laughter because - well I didn't see that coming! (no pun intended lol!) ๐ณ
You will get all of the feels with this book from those aww moments that make you smile, to those uh oh moments that have you feeling their pain, to those sweat-inducing spicy scenes that will have your mouth watering and chest gasping for air. ๐ฅต
There may even be a little easter egg/teaser dropped in there for another one of Nyla's books... who knows. ๐๐
