We first got to read this story in the Twisted Christmas anthology,but now it's ohhh so much better,and I'd forgotten how much of a masterpiece it really was! James had taken on Jesse as a young child,and had been his constant,his support,his guardian for all of his life. Jesse was an ambitious,unique human being who already knew exactly what he wanted from life.
One Christmas,the dynamic between the two completely changed on its axis,and James fought with his mind and his heart...and the big question he was fighting for the answer was...is this what he was looking for his whole life...to feel complete? For the light to completely shine in his world?
This was a beautiful journey to be on with Nyla,and I loved this festive,forbidden and taboo novella.
It definitely brought out the spice and a new outlook on candy canes for me!

This novella (a “Nyla K.” novella) was everything festive, sweet, sexy and taboo.
Jesse and James were so good for each other. Once they both gave into one another it was effortless.
This novella is longish for a novella but it is so hot and steamy! If you are looking for an extra spicy Christmas treat you will find it all wrapped up in these pages!

First off, Nyla never fails me when I want an emotional scorcher. She is one of my absolute favorites and blind buy authors.
That being said, let's get into the thick of it, shall we? Unwrap Him is obviously a Christmas tale with forbidden/taboo themes. Whether you view it as forbidden or taboo is completely up to you. I am in the "forbidden" box. There is no blood relation between James and Jesse, so that, for me, takes it out of the taboo box.
James has raised Jesse for the past 16 years, since his best friends passed in a car accident. He's done all the fatherly things: shelter, food, clothing, emotional support, etc.
Jesse has had feelings toward James for a few years now. Sadly, he's tried desperately (and gone to desperate measures) to erase those feelings. The only man he wants in his life is James. It's kind of obvious how much he is dependent on James because when he sleepwalks, he always ends up in James' bed.
I'm not a spoiler kinda gal, but suffice it to say that Christmas Eve changes EVERYTHING!

Sweet & hot, Nyla gives us an addicting Christmas novel.
The taboo part of the story didn’t disturb me .. maybe it’s because I’m used to her writing , but I sincerely think that she managed to write it in a non-disturbing way but it’s definitely not for everyone.
The characters are endearing.
It’s a quick read, the plot is only about our two lovebirds falling in love , the sex is off the chart and I can’t get enough of her spicy scenes.. only her knows how to write good spice.
I don’t have a lot to say, it’s a novel, contemporary, quick, taboo but easy , sweet and very hot.

This was really good. I’ve been itching to read again after being so sick and I knew this novella would be just the book to pick up! I had a lot of fun reading it. It was Taboo, steamy, and sweet. I just think the taboo-ness was just a little too much for me at times, but for the most part I really enjoyed this!

This is the third Christmas in a row I’ve read Unwrap Him, and I don’t think I’ll ever not be obsessed.
Jesse is in love with his guardian, James. James adopted Jesse when his friends, Jesse’s parents, died in a car accident when Jesse was only two years old. One Christmas changes their relationship dynamic, Jesse’s sleepwalking habits take a spicy turn and James struggles with the new urges that pop up whenever he’s in Jesse’s presence.
I adore Nyla and anything she writes. She always hits the spot. Taboo and spicy and Christmassy.

Holy Mistletoe!
Let me just say… THE SPICE in this book.. those things mentioned in this book literally had my mouth open ready to catch flies!! Wow!!! Lord have mercy this book was HOT!! Nyla gives the perfect Christmas vibes without it being all about Christmas. This book is sweet, angsty, emotional.. and downright STEAMY… these boys belong on my shelf!! Forget elf on the shelf I’ll take James and Jesse. Lol. If you like MM, taboo romance, mixed in with a little Christmas flair?? Then pick up this book. You won’t regret it!!!

Once again Nyla has written a freaking amazing story! Jesse and James were absolute fire together! Oh, and that kitchen scene... yes please.
If you have not read anything ny Nyla K yet, you are 100% missing out. She is the queen of MM, and I will forever read anything and everything that she writes.
