About a short business trip and a trip to see her mom and her mom’s friends .. while having a short stop at Sweden to see a cute guy. That’s what this was about. Not a ‘travelogue’ or some insightful European trip. Art style was good but that was the only redeeming factor. This felt short, sloppy, and thrown together.

This is my favorite book of Knisley's I've read so far. Some truly wonderful pages and sequences, along with her signature killer drawing.

A fun, whimsical travelogue of a month in Europe when young with life mostly ahead of one. The art is cool and clever, and the text sometimes thought-provoking and observant, and other times just pure fun.

Wow. I LOVED this book....I don't know if I just picked it up on the perfect day to read about figuring out life and being in limbo, but this book struck a nerve and made me happy....which is strange because I have picked up some of her earlier books and not enjoyed them when I thought I would. So, yay!
This is the story of Lucy traveling to Norway for a comic Con....and then on to France/Germany/Sweden to visit/meet up with friends. It was also about her figuring out where she was and what she was doing.....all a bit close to home for me. Her drawings are amazing...her thoughts (in this travelogue) were right on....I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone in adulthood.

Read: if you want to escape the US, travel Europe a bit....and think about what you are up to.

Did anyone else feel animosity for her mom's friends? They just slept while she drove and drank all her milk? How rude! It obviously bothered her enough to put in the book but not enough to cause conflict.

I borrowed this graphic novel from a friend during our book retreat and what a delight it was! This grown up graphic novel is sweet and interesting and left me wanting to read the rest by this author! Thoroughly enjoyable. 🥰

I mostly want to learn how to draw myself so I can keep my own travelogue like this. There was not a lot to this book, some experiences she flushes out as a narrative but mostly it felt like you were just getting the surface of things.

This was lovely, sweet and funny. It made me want to travel and made me reminisce when Richard and I were dating long distance.
