I just couldn't get into this book. I tried and tried but couldn't follow it at all and had no interest in it.

Thankfully the book was free... That's the best thing I can say about it...

I've read Holy Blood, Holy Grail because I enjoyed The Da Vinci Code and was curious about the source material/inspiration. I'm not an expert on history and I can't venture an opinion on how accurate it is, but it is a fascinating story nevertheless.

I find it difficult to put this on my non-fiction shelf. But I will let that be I guess.

I learned from this book that I am descended from Jesus. That's pretty much all I got out of this.

I guess I'd already heard a lot of the conspiracy theories before, so Holy Blood, Holy Grail didn't have a lot left to offer me. I'd hoped that the illustrated edition would work as well as The Davinci Code illustrated did. But unfortunately, it was primarily text and fairly irrelevant photographs.

I guess if you're a big Grail nerd, this book has a good amalgamation of lots of different theories. But generally, I didn't find much of the "research" very compelling or well-supported, and too much of it smacked of tabloids.
