This was a slow read for me and I kept hoping and wishing this would pick up in speed but unfortunately that was not the case. Honestly the only reason this is getting a 2 star rating and not a 1 star rating is because the atmosphere of the house itself and its characterization I thought was well done and it was well suited for a winter read. However, the characters themselves fell flat and the explanations in the end just made it worse. I wasn’t sure where the ending would take me but I was disappointed by what it ended up being.
