Simple romantic plot of "bad boy" duke persona meets "good innocent girl" girl with no lack of sexual tension among the two main characters. The outcome really wasn't that all surprising, almost kind of expected with your typical happy "ending". While I feel the characters themselves were written decently. Just the whole "I love them no matter what" bouncing back was annoyingly prompt and cliche.

I'm just so happy right now. I'm also going to have to find a new bookshelf for my house, because I'm out of space already, and now I have to go and get everything else Julia Quinn has ever written.
I'm not going to do a very long review. I'm afraid I'd give too much away. But to summarize my thoughts...
1) I was smiling and laughing from the onset of this book. Meaning from the prologue. Meaning it took this woman, like, three pages to make me happy, and I'd barely gotten into the book yet.
2) I love the Bridgertons. I love this merry band of eight, and I love their mother, and... I just love them! My own family is a tight-knit bunch that, if needed, we would do whatever it took to help protect each other and keep each other happy. We don't always agree, and sometimes we fight, but at the end of the day, I know these people are always ultimately on my side. They are my support system, and that is exactly what the Bridgertons are to each other.
3) There was no part of this book, none, that I did not enjoy. The characters' frustrations became my own. Their joy gave me joy. Their sadness was almost enough to make me cry. (Poor Simon.) And when it was over, I was both overjoyed with how it ended, as well as so incredibly mad at myself for not attempting to read it any slower.
And for me, that's a 5 star rating. (You may not agree, but this is my opinion and I'm sticking with it.)
