I've never read a book in one sitting until I opened this one. I cried the whole time. Anyone who has ever experienced grief should read this. Her writing is incredible. Her words evoke grief in a previously thought impossible way. I felt so understood, way more than I've ever felt reading a book that is supposed to "help" with grief. This book will stay with you long after you read it. Easily my new favorite.

This was a heartbreaking and raw memoir. I thought the style was very interesting, and I could feel her grief coming off the page. I would recommend this to anyone who likes memoirs.

I hate rating and reviewing memoirs because they are someone's real experience. It feels wrong to say this book left me unsatisfied, but I didn't feel much reading it. Usually grief books make me quite emotional, but the choppy chapters and writing style kept me from feeling too connected to these characters.
