Is this the perfectest book ever? No, there are plenty of things that I think could've been handled better.
But just the fact that it put me into a reading slump for weeks because I was so scared to finish it with all those cliff-hangers, and all those insane plot-twists that mirrored or were foreshadowed in the previous books making me want to reread them,
If the fact that this might be the last book ever featuring these wonderful characters and this wonderful universe influenced the rating, we're not gonna talk about it :)

What an amazing conclusion to a trilogy and a universe where I fell in love with almost all the characters. I cried so many times, gripped the edges (of my Kindle) as I tore through this. As much as I love Ronan, I loved that the attention on him eased up to focus on other characters who were also very pivotal to the overall plot arc. I got exactly what I needed from this series and I will never be the same.

Anyway, I wanted more Ronan in this. While getting to see more of Declan was great, Ronan was one of my favorite characters from The Raven Cycle, and he's not in much of this particular book, until the end. Give me more of Ronan, please!
If you are a fan of the Raven Cycle, you will love the way this brings both of the trilogies together at the end. It's a good send off for characters that so many people love. Overall, once I got rid of the cobwebs, I did enjoy this finale of the Raven Cycle world.

Maggie Steifvater, you deserve a standing ovation for this grand finale to the world of The Raven Cycle. I'm not sure what I was anticipating, but when am I ever really anticipating anything in particular when it comes to this universe? Up is twenty minutes from now and backwards is yesterday and somehow in this world, it makes sense (or it doesn't but we accept it and move on). I'm not sure I'll ever be able to fully process everything I read in this series, but I enjoyed myself thoroughly and can't wait to read it again.
The beauty of Ronan and Adam's relationship will never be matched. Oh yes, I said it. <spoilers>It's hard for me to ever imagine something topping how absolutely precious their reunion was, despite the reunion being Adam's conscious meeting Ronan's... existence?</spoilers> I still don't even understand it entirely but it was emotional and heartfelt and wonderful in every way imaginable.
This book truly was about The Lynch Brothers. While we had our fair share of Carmen Farooq-Lane, Jordan Hennessey, and Jordan Hennessey, the emphasis was entirely on Ronan, Declan, and Matthew. This was something I absolutely adored. It took me all of TRC and the first half of Call Down the Hawk to appreciate these characters, but once I did, I fell hard for them and was thankful for the depth of their characters in this one and all the phenomenal development. I never thought I'd love such chaotic, confusing characters--but here we are!
I took my time reading this masterpiece of a book because I really never wanted it to end. Part of me was tempted to pick up The Raven Boys just to start from square one again immediately after finishing. Part of me wants to give this one time to settle into my soul and keep affecting me for weeks (or even months). One thing I know for sure is that while it may have taken me longer to get to this universe of books than it did for so many others, it didn't impact me any less. I'm thankful for these beautiful, bizarre words and how they've touched my life.
5/5 stars for the entire trilogy! I will definitely be reading it again (and again and again)...
