My love for this series has come out of no where. I started reading "Slaying the Shadow Prince" because of the book club, and fell in love with the concept and world of Thezzmar. This was a real page turner, the suspense in this book was amazing, I was dying to find out what was going to happen next. Helen has also managed to create a great sense of foreshadowing for the remaining books in the series that I am planning to devour as soon as humanly possible. I am kicking myself for not finding this series sooner.

Love love love!!!! Favorite book of 2024 so far, couldn’t put it down even when deathly sick. I’m impatiently waiting for the second to come in the mail.
I adore Thea and her relationships with Cal and Kip and her sister Wren. I love that the FMC doesn’t need to be saved by a man and doesn’t need to overshadow a man by being all powerful. They work together as a team and empower each other. I also loved the focus on alchemy and strengths in things other than brute force.
Wilder and Thea - whew honey! Love the slow burn and cannot wait for the spice to pick up in book 2.

Fantastic!! I can’t wait to read book 2.
Thea and Wilder *swoon*. I can only hope for their HEA.
But they’re both so dang stubborn. I can’t wait to find out more about Thea and who she is/where she comes from. I love her strength and resilience. And reading about Wilder fighting beside her, not trying to save her, letting her be who she’s meant to be…love!!
