Blood & Steel... What can I say, I was hooked from the very first page.
Althea wants to be a Warsword and doing something meaningful with her life. She only has 3 years left to make an impact. She wants to be a legend.
How does she get there?
I tried a couple of other books before I picked this one up and the story, the worldbuilding, the characters... there is so much depth and tension. I love any book with a journey. Helen is a great master of the art of storytelling.
If you love romance, fantasy, and a journey then you need this series out! It’s AMAZING!!

Really enjoyed reading Blood and Steel. Felt some elements from other fantasy books, but no spoilers. I’m a sucker for a good enemies to lovers and trials, and this did not disappoint!

I liked this book more than I thought I would. I’ve read a lot of this genre and find that it’s the same plot with the same characters blanketed with different themes. This was surprising as I expected this would be the same and the would end up as a dnf. I was hooked. The main characters flaws are shown in a way that at times can be raw and hard to take but the development is natural. This book is great, (not perfect) has brought me out of a slump and am excited to finish the rest of the series.
