HELLO AMAZING!!
Ugh Thea and Wilder togetherrrr. Ngl, I am always mad at the typical grumpy MMC who thinks that he’s bad for her so he just becomes mean to her but at the same time is sweet in his actions. This need to STOP srsly cause the angst !!
The plot is great. It was written well, the story flowed well, and it was comprehensible. Like I could imagine myself there. I liked that the book focused on Thea’s development and also the beginning of Wilder and Thea’s relationship. I loved the training scenes because we got to see Thea grow and handle prejudice from the others.
It was so obvious that Wilder was going to be her mentor from the start but I guess it was going to be a huge pain point because it would be forbidden romance at that point which I LOVE but Wilder being stubborn is not it. I love how he drops everything for her though and no matter how grumpy he seems to be, he’s actually soft at heart especially for Thea. AND HELLO THEY’RE SO HOT TOGETHER. The Bloodwoods scene whew. And the tension between them was palpable. Very enemies to lovers I love it.
Wren. She is rubbing me the wrong way. I don’t know, I get disloyal vibes from her. I feel like she is someone who is selfish and has nefarious intentions. And she’s even the little sister. Especially her hiding the magic power from Thea. Her mannerisms too give me the feeling that she has plans and she doesn’t want Thea to wreck it. I don’t like her.
I love Kipp and Cal. They are both great characters and I like that Thea’s interactions are not only fillers like they contribute to the plot.
Can somebody kill Seb already??!
So all in all, I loved this. I don’t know HOW I am going to get through 3 more books but I am loving it so far. I so hope that it will not be disappointing and no stupidity from either MCs.

Really loved this book, absolutely devoured it! The tension, between Thea and Wilder is amazing and I love so many of the characters!!

Blood & Steel is an easy to read romantasy with an intriguing plot line, a badass FMC, and a supportive (while being hot) MMC. Althea is a strong female who can fight her own battles but also knows when to rely on others, and has been able to find and surround herself with men who support her ambitions. The plot twists are all pretty predictable but the story is just too good to put down and the characters all have amazing chemistry.
