I had a very nice time! It went by so fast, I was really invested in Thea’s story from the start, and loved the side characters! Everyone had so much personality here, and I enjoyed seeing their interactions. Wilder makes me swoon whenever he appears, and love how obsessed he is with her, I can’t wait to see how they navigate the relationship now 👀 the only thing to nitpick about was the pacing by the end felt slightly messier, so much jumbled together, and the quick pace of everything - since it was advertised as slow burn, enemies to lovers, and I didn’t think it gave that at all

A familiar concept told in a refreshing way. While the story of a female main character training to become a warrior has been done before, this version felt fresh. The urgency brought on by the blood stone added a unique and compelling layer to the plot.
The slow burn romance and the quiet yearning throughout the story were beautifully done. I also really loved the bond between the sisters, which was heartfelt and endearing. The ending wasn’t particularly surprising, but it was still satisfying and entertaining enough to make me eager for the next book.
