I spent the first half of this book wondering why it's as popular as it is. I thought I'd missed out by starting the series so late or something. Then the third quarter started to pick up... then by the final quarter I was completely hooked. COMPLETELY.

I get it now. Sorry I ever doubted. Can't wait to read the next one.

There’s some corny bits sprinkled in but they pale in comparison to the story surrounding them. Such a wild ride.

A Court of Thorn and Roses is one of those books on the "how have you not read this yet" list that everyone seems to judge readers by. It was far better than I was expecting, based on my last few experiences reading total duds, recommended by BookTok. It's not a romance novel by any means, and it's not a Beauty and the Beast adaptation, not really. The elements are there, but there is way more than the Belle et Bete story. I enjoyed it, and I like that it didn't end on a cliffhanger. I'll probably read the next book in the series.

Loved this book. Intro to fantasy. VERY violent. I’d prefer less violence and no more torture please.

Holy yes!
After reading Fourth Wing I thought why not read this one.. So I did and OHMIGOD.
Did I devoured it in 3 days? Yes I did.

Did I fell in love with Rhys? ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY. He's a shadow-daddy. πŸ–€πŸ¦‡

Am I starting A Court Of Mist & Fury now? Yes I am! Can't wait to see Velaris.. 😍

Overall this first book was perfect! The world building, we've seen Feyre's life before going to Prythian, we know where she comes from and we see her growing into her own person.
And Tamlin? Sweet sweet Tamlin, he would do a lot for Feyre, but telling the truth? Nopes, not telling anything at all πŸ™„ Let's say if he would have told the truth at some point, a lot of shit wouldn't happened and yeah..

But now my last point: RHYSAND IS HOT. Seriously. Holy flying cows in a tornado. 🀭 He's the best (iykyk)
πŸ¦‡πŸ–€

Just read it please! I'm not gonna spoil everything. 😌
