Stunningly beautiful. Amazingly vibrant. I had seen this book everywhere but was always concerned it didn’t live up to the hype. Well…it did and more. Cannot wait to start the next one.

I'm really not sure what to make of this book. Many people recommended it to me, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought. I'm not sure if it's because I was expecting too much, or what.

I think my main issues are that the MC seems to be smart when it matters but also surprisingly short-sighted with things that don't make much sense. It's to move the plot around. She's very inconsistent, and many of the other characters are very one-dimensional. There's a Big Bad that I think was "relatable" enough (The MC seems to think so as well, explicitly), but we actually never get a one-on-one scene with the two, and I think that's a big miss from the book.

There's a trope of "I love the good guy, and I am falling for the bad guy", and it's easily seen from 10 miles away. I don't think it needs to be a surprise, but I didn't think it was very well done.

I think someone that is graduating from YA books would love this. It seems like the 2000s/2010s vibe, like when everyone was going crazy for werewolves and the like.

Ok listen… I didn’t think I would like it imma be honest. Howeva once I got to the plot 👀. I finished the book in 2 days however I’m curious as to why Tamlin is referred to as “tampon” on booktok. I’m scared to read the next one. Although intrigued. Smut not good don’t recommend😐.

I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy this book as much as I did. I found some of the writing to be a bit cringe/odd but I had alot of fun reading it. Maybe it's just because I haven't read a fantasy book in a while but this book was exactly what I needed and im anticipating the events of the second one.

Feyre was an idiot and thus hard to root for.  There’s no way her family depended solely on her. Amarantha was the only person who even had a personality beyond one dimension. The plot was good but the characters were not.

I totally get the hype. I also get why people say this is loosely based on beauty and the beast, but I kinda loved that.
