OBRA DE ARTE. ASÍ, TAL CUAL.

Leí por todos lados que no fue un buen libro y no entiendo por qué, en serio, cuando se sintió tan real, ha sido perfecto (aunque haya llorado como Magdalena).

Well that was not what I was expecting. This novel had a lot of the things I liked from the first installment: magic, camaraderie, action, clever spells, and interesting magical creatures. One big problem is that it didn't have the one thing that I wanted to see the most: Simon and Baz, together!

I get that they are complicated. I didn't even mind that things were rocky at the start of the novel. What I did mind is that they never changed. The story moved around them and nothing...between them...changed...at all. Nothing! They didn't talk, they didn't tell each other how they feel, they didn't really even argue, it was just nothing. All we got was tiny scraps of feelings and affection from either of them, and I'm just not satisfied with that. I'm happy that there will be a next installment, because I need more of these two. I'm just hoping we will get more than we did here. Simon and Baz have sooo much potential, and I have my fingers crossed that we will get the sappy reunion that we did not get in this installment.

I absolutely loved Carry On, so I’m a bit disappointed that I didn’t vibe with Wayward Son. It definitely feels like the classic second book fantasy filler, yet the actions of the characters were so out of place that it felt wrong
