Mafia- ish

I honestly am not sure what the heck happened in this book. Like seriously- so so so confused how we got from A to Z. Overall this book was ok and I enjoyed listening to it. I am not sure I will continue the series. I just feel like the story was rushed and nothing made sense. But if you like mafia then this might make you happy! Read at your own risk!

Ruthless Saint: An Arranged Marriage Romance
DeSantis Mafia, Book 1
By: S. Massery
Narrated by: Stephanie Rose, Jacob Morgan

Arranged marriages, mafia romance, alpha males, excitement, suspense, this book has it all! I love S. Massery's style of writing and find myself pulled in and in a "don't bother me, I'm listening to a book" mode as soon as I turn her stories on! This first book in her DeSantis Mafia series is fantastic. We have Amelie and Luca, and unexpected arranged marriage, taking us through the ins and outs of family politics, danger and vendettas. Twists and turns galore, I was on the edge and loving every minute. Amelie is a strong, smart, capable woman married to Luca DeSantis. Not who she thought she would be marrying, but taking one for the family seems to be her destiny. Luca is dark and dangerous, but his soft side is oh, so delicious. Twists and turns, keep them together and apart, and it's a wild ride. Love this beginning to the family and now I can't wait for Aiden's story!

Jacob Morgan and Stephanie Rose bring this gem to life. The two are talented story tellers and know just how to make us picture the story as it unfolds. It's an amazing performance.

So bad. So so bad
I can’t believe the author gave us the hockey serie that was amazing wrote this
Flat
No plot
No explanation whatsoever
No sense in the MC choices
I debated myself everyday to DNF this book
It took me 10 days to finish it while an usual book takes only 2/3 maximum.
There is no substance in this book
Mafia where ? Just because it’s an arranged marriage doesn’t mean it’s mafia

If you like real mafia books? Put this one down. Hard pass it.

Love Is Powerful

This is my first S.Massery book and I am hooked. I was sucked in from the very beginning. I love mafia romances, but I have never read one with an arranged marriage. Amalie deserved so much more, and she got it and she was also a bad a**. And Luca deserved more to, and Amalie was it! I cannot wait to read Aiden and Gemma’s story. The spice was amazing and plenty of plot to make it equal.

Arranged marriage gone wrong. Sex right in the beginning was off-putting and felt like it was way too soon for people who didn’t know each other and didn’t even really get along yet. I got whiplash from her liking him then not and then having sex with him as a way to ‘stick it to him’ didn’t quite make sense. I loved Luca’s soft spot for Amelie though. Amelie was quite a bad ass at times and holds her own and does what she thinks is best. I’m glad Luca groveled and wasn’t just forgiven right away or expected to just be forgiven right away.
